When did They Know Hydroxychloroquin Could be Used to Treat COVID-19?

Early in the pandemic, President Trump said during a press conference that hydroxychloroquin could be a game changer in the fight against COVID-19. Immediately Trump was pilloried by press for suggesting hydroxychloroquin could be used to treat COVID-19. The FDA forbid doctors from prescribing hydroxchloroquin and pharmacists from prescribing it for COVID-19. A democratic activist woman blamed Trump for killing her husband after touting hydroxychloroquin as useful to prevent COVID-19. She fed fish tank cleaner that contained hydroxycholoroquin to her husband and herself to prevent the disease. She wound up in the hospital and her husband died then, went on several TV programs to bash Trump. After investigation, she was charged with premeditated murder.

The Mayo Clinic started clinical trials and reported in May 22, 2020 that in addition to treating malaria that "Hydroxychloroquine may also be used to treat coronavirus (COVID-19) in certain hospitalized patients." This website was made public on Sept. 24, 2023 and on Sept. 26, the page was removed from The Mayo Clinic website. Who benefits from banning a cheap drug that works? How many people cold have been saved? It's all about the money pharmaceutical companies made on the vaccine, lives don't matter.
