EOS 6D with Sigma 150-600mm Lens
Set time to UTC on Computer and Camera
Set to Manual Mode
Set up Tracker for solar tracking
Put on Solar Filter
and Tape to Lens
Set shutter to 1/250 s, F/8, ISO 200
Plug camera into computer
Start Canon Utility App
Focus on
Sun using Canon Utility
Take picture, and zoom in to check focus
Tape focus ring and check focus again.
Turn OFF Auto Focus and
Turn Stabolization OFF if calm
Close Canon Utility
Start SET'n'C program and Click on Camera
Click on Connect Camera
Set to RAW,
Click on Exposure Table for Canon 6D
Load Exposure Table
Set Camera Dafaults in upper left of Exposure Table
RAW, ISO 400, F/8
Go back to Camera Form
Click Eclipse Photography to start taking pictures
EOS T3i with Sigma mm Canon 100-400mm Lens
Set time to UTC on Computer and Camera
Set to Manual Mode
Set up Tracker for solar tracking
Put on Solar Filter
and Tape to Lens
Set shutter to 1/200 s, F8, ISO 200
Plug camera into computer
Start Canon Utility App

Focus on
Sun using Canon Utility 2
Take picture, and zoom in to check focus
Tape focus ring and check focus again.
Turn OFF Auto Focus and turn Stabolization OFF.
Close Canon Utility
Start SET'n'C program and Click on Camera
Click on Connect Camera
Set to RAW,
Click on Exposure Table for the Canon T3i
Load Exposure Table
Set Camera Dafaults in upper left of Exposure Table
RAW, ISO 400, F/8
Go back to Camera Form
Click Eclipse Photography to start taking pictures
EOS Rebel T5 with Canon 18 - 55 Lens
Set time to UTC Camera
Set to Manual Mode
Set up Tripod
Put on Solar Filter
Set shutter to 1/200 s, F6.3, ISO 200
Zoom to 55mm
Set to bracket exposure +/- 1 stop
Focus on
Sun, take picture, and zoom in to check focus
Tape focus ring and turn OFF auto focus & stabolization
Connect Timer and continue taking pictures until Totality.
At totality, Remove Camera from tripod
Zoom out to 18mm,
Change to P mode,
Turn on Stabolization
Take pictures of scene
Set back to Manual, 1/200 s, F/8, ISO 200
Turn OFF Stabolization
Put back on tripod
